How can i fix my phone? i installed the chromium keyboard through installer and its screwed up my keyboard. Half my keyboard is default (letter keyboard) and the other is chromium(numbers keyboard). I also cant unistall it because its showing that i havent even installed it even tho i have. I dont want to install it again because i dont want it to overwite my backups that it created when i first installed it....any help?

yeah thats what i am getting. i found a original file set of keyboards and i am going to try to SSH them into /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/  and overwrite the Keyboard-Common.artwork and Keyboard-Latin.artwork which i am assuming those are the files that are the chromium ones. I am not at my computer right now but i will try later. i dont know what else to do though.

yea, those are the only two files i saw that would do it, im contacting the developers over at appleiphoneschool.com and see if they can get ahold to the dev of this app and see what he has to say about it. Also is your shift key messed up in the regular keyboard when its pressed down?

its all messed up. so i emailed allen(the guy that posted this and here it is)

Sounds like installer crashed mid-way through the installation process. Make sure you have enough space for the app and then re-install.

the two  .artwork files which make up the chromium keyboard are ..

/System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framwork/Keyboard-Common.artwork

AND

/System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/Keyboard-Latin.artwork

so i am assuming once i overwrite those files with the backup i found then it should go back to normal (i hope)

here is the link i found the DL at if you can SSH into your phone

http://www.modmyifone.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=14371

im going to try when i get home and replace those files with the ones in that link

also on my phone the only file that it modified was the latin one not the common, so that should be the only file.

Guys, the Chromium Keyboard replaces both the Common and Latin   .artwork files.   In your case since installer crashed, one of them may not have been changed during the installation.

To get back to your original keyboards, upload those two files.

If Chromium Keyboard is crashing during installation it means you do not have enough free space left. It is not a problem with the packaging it is a problem with Installer.app not checking free space.

In case you're not sure of how to fix the free space error, here it goes..

Install BossTool from Installer.app and use the "relocate apps" option. This will free up space on your iPhone that is used by Installer.app as temporary file storage and allow you to install bigger and better applications.

That was the file, also to ssh to your phone alot easier use winscp you can get it from

http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?groupname=winscp&filename=winscp413.exe&use_mirror=internap

Now all i got to do is figure out why my intelliscreen wont load after i installed that app....

Also thanks Allan, i tried that once before and it crashed my iphone but i guess i'll try it again lol.

The guys who run that site thought it would be cute to filter our domain name on their site.  If you use the word Planet-iPhones in a post on their site, it shows up as ******.  So in response, we added variations of their site name to our bad words filter on the forum.  Looks like it's working too.  Tongue
