If you use torrents to download files from the Internet onto your personal computer you already know that this can become addictive – an addiction to goodies that you cannot afford to buy – but now this has also become affordable.
Being a mobile person, you might feel the need to download torrents onto your iOS device as well as your PC. Now iTransmission is offering a way for you to start downloading all those files you were searching for straight onto you iDevice. Obviously Apple are not allowing this kind of application in their App Store, so you have to make an effort and search for it… at InsanelyI Cydia (repo.insanelyi.com)
It is important to remember that this application is in its first stages, so there might still be some bugs. But it is a very easy-to-use application, which works on the iPhone, iPod Touch, and the iPad – and best of all, iTransmission is open source.
After installing and opening iTransmission, you are greeted by the main screen, where you can control your downloads – active or paused torrents, upload and download speeds, and the state of your connection.
Before starting, always read the instructions… it just happens that a complete step-by-step guide can be found at Cult of Mac. Thanks, Brian!
