Tonight the iPhone dev-team has released the untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4 (GSM only), iPhone 3Gs, iPod Touch 4G & 3G, iPad 1 and the Apple TV 2G. This release comes at almost three years to the date since PwnageTool 1.1.4 was released.
As was reported earlier this evening, the iPad 2 currently is not supported because Apple has patched the vulnerabilities that allowed for the limera1n or SHAtter bootrom exploits.
The Apple website states that this update brings the following:
• Fixes an occasional graphics glitch on iPod touch (4th generation)
• Resolves bugs related to activating and connecting to some cellular networks
• Fixes image flicker when using Apple Digital AV Adapter with some TVs
• Resolves an issue authenticating with some enterprise web services
If you use ultraSn0w for carrier unlock, DO NOT RUN THIS UPDATE. There are some compatibility issues that will need to be worked out by the iPhone dev-team before it will work with 4.3.1.
