The long-awaited Apple event is here – just a few hours away – and the second-generation iPad will be revealed. Do you not love all the secrecy surrounding Apple? Nothing is for sure until the Apple event will take place. Rumors and information leaks abound, but just enough to tweak our curiosity and no more.

The information we learned before the official launch of the iPad 2 has indicated that the magic tablet will feature front facing camera, a redesigned back, improved speakers and faster processor with more memory. Now there is talk about the launch of a new ‘MobileMe’ service, because Apple recently discontinued its ‘MobileMe’ retail boxes, and this is now a good opportunity of launching the redesigned cloud-based ‘MobileMe’ service. ‘Cult of Mac’ reports that an Apple staffer said:

The new MobileMe service will store music, TV shows, and films that were purchased from the iTunes store. The staffer also said that there was talk inside Apple of being able to upload all your music and videos to the cloud whether it was purchased from iTunes or not. However, they couldn’t confirm whether this will be rolled out or not.

Larger storage capacity has been a long-awaited feature for the iPad, but among all the rumors we will have to wait to see how this is going to be implemented.

Another rumor that is somewhat puzzling – the rumor of the launch of the third-generation iPad’s launch in the Fall. That is not at all like Apple. Why do they launch the second-generation iPad now when they plan to launch the next version just six months later? Do they know something that we do not – or are they just trying to keep the rumors on the boil?
