The iPhone 5, due to be launched in June this year, will not be an LTE 4G phone. According to experts, users have to wait for the iPhone 6, which will most probably an LTE version.
The announcements come as rumors pick up pace regarding the launch of the iPhone 5 at both AT&T and Verizon. However, it seems clear that this version of the iPhone will not be able to function on Verizon’s fastest network.
All this seems to come as a bit of a surprise, especially when considering the fact that a wide range Google Android phones from Motorola, HTC and LG are all preparing 4G LTE Android phones, which are set to hit the market later this year. It may not even be unreasonable to say that the iPhone’s competitors seem to have finally caught up and even surpassed the iPhone in this regard.
However, from the rumors surrounding the iPhone 5, it seems that iPhone fans are in for a real treat. The latest version will most probably include a larger 4-inch screen, a dual-core processor and an 8 megapixel camera. These features may not seem revolutionary, especially when compared to some of the latest Android models that have hit the market recently. However, when added to some of the other signature features that define the Apple iPhone, it seems that the overall product will look very good.
