July 6th is an important day for iPad users, since Apple has released an update to the very popular MobileMe iDisk application. The update includes iPad compatibility. The free application is a single universal binary that works to its full potential across all iOS devices running 3.1.3 or above.
The update includes multitasking for the iPhone, retina display and iBooks support. It also includes a few other small improvements. For example, when you open the app, you will see the last file or directory and you will have the option to open it in iDisk documents or other compatible apps such as iBooks. And, when you share a file, you can send an email from any configured email account. The URL for a shared file can be copied and then pasted where you need it with this update. In addition, the app looks more stable.
It has been a year since the iDisk app first appeared, and the updated app is version 1.2. If you want to use the application, you must subscribe to MobileMe, which costs $99 per year.
