This year has significant changes for CBS Sports NCAA March Madness on Demand. For instance; the application can now bring you live video feeds over EDGE and 3G as easy as it can with WiFi.

The best part is that March Madness on Demand also has many other changes that you will welcome in this year’s edition. During your video experience you can tap on the screen and access information of the teams involved in the game you are watching. In addition, you can have access to other in-progress games, because you have a feed that brings this information to your iPhone.

An extraordinary feature is the on screen controls. They let you pause the action, or if you liked or missed something that just happened, just jump back and play it over again.

Another feature is the audio streaming; if you are on the road and you have to concentrate on driving, Westwood One’s radio comes to deliver radio broadcasts of the games. These will be thirty seconds behind what you would see.

Another feature of the updated March Madness on Demand is the push notifications. Alerts like start of the game, reached half time or end, can be setup, together with overtimes and breaking news. So, all necessary information will show up on your iPhone in real time.

This year’s update also includes tournament brackets, video highlights, news and scoreboards.

Still the app has one negative aspect; video quality. This is not what you would see on the CBS Sports website. But this is a great little app to use when you can’t get to a web browser or TV.

The application is available in Apple’s App Store and costs only $10!
