iH8Sn0w.com recently published links on their site to download the beta version of sn0wbreeze for Windows.

     According to their website:

     "sn0wbreeze is a tool for Windows® that will jailbreak your iPods and iPhones, setup custom boot logos, activate your iPhone, root partition size, build custom IPSW, and more!"

     Sn0wbreeze's requires Windows XP, Vista or 7 to run but can operate on the following devices.

  • iPhone 2G
  • iPhone 3G
  • iPhone 3G[S] (old bootrom)
  • iPod Touch 1G
  • iPod Touch 2G - non MC

     Reportedly sn0wbreeze only supports SIMPLE mode at this time. This only allows users to create a jailbroken, activated ipsw without any of the customization features. So as of right now it is actually no better than any already existing software that does the same thing. By Monday however the new full version should be released allowing us to explore the new features.

     As if that wasn't enough, it has also been reported that sn0wbreeze might be using stolen code from the iPhone Dev Team which violates the xpwn license. It also embeds the bootloaders for jailbreaking which is illegal. So I am not entirely sure if I would be using this software for a little while...
