GeoHot has just announced that blackra1n RC2 is out and ready for you to download. Not much has changed since the last version but it does now support the new iPhone 3GS that has 3.1 OOB.

Still not working with iPod Touch 3G. You have to tether and run the program again if you reboot.
my 3GS came with 3.1.2 installed.
I did the jailbreak with blackra1n last week and tried again on Monday. The jailbreak worked, but only partially. I can install apps from cydia and installous, but when i try to synch apps from the computer by placing them in the itunes mobile app directory itunes wont allow them to synch. I get the following message:
The application (name of app) was not installed on the iphone “(my iphone)” because an unknown error occured (0xE8008001)
and itunes send me this page

which deals with troubleshooting applications purchased form the App store.
does blackrain RC2 resolve this issue?? or is this an issue that is specific to me?
btw, I believe my phone was made during week 42 according to the serial number.
Can I install ipa files manually to my iphone and install from there using a manual method like what installous uses?
If so, what program will let me do that?
