I have upgraded my 1st generation iPhone to the just released Firmware which is OS 3. It works well using the Red Snow. Unfortunately the Application that I wanted to download from Cydia is not working. I always get this notice " ERROR Couldn't configure pre-depend dpkg
for grep. Probably a dependency cycle."

So what I did was I had the iPhone connected to iTunes and back-up the data then went to the process of restoring it unfortunately I have overlooked my keypad in my iBook pressed the Command instead of Option and when everything was done my iPhone becomes factory locked with the dreaded USB to iTunes logo. This are the details of my iPhone each time I would have it in DFU mode this are the details of my iPhone

                Name: xxxxxx
            Capacity: n/a
Software Version: n/a
    Serial Number: 7R744TYLWW7

Any idea how I could have it unlock?

Your immediate input to solve the above problem is most welcome

Thanks,

Tried today to install redsn0w (Cydia and Icy toggled) and ultrasn0w.
Problem: I could not update Cydia: "internal error ..."
Solution (not yet tested): I googled about this problem and the solution seems to be just to install Cydia and turn Icy off. I will try this tonight when I'm back from work. For more details see http://www.bloggersbase.com/articles/technology/gadgets-and-Mobile/how-to-fix-cydias-internal-error-during-an-iphone-3-0-redsn0w-jailbreak/
Anybody had the same issue?
