This update fixes numerous bugs concerning the new VoiceOver feature for the 3rd generation iPod shuffle, syncing iPhones and iPod Touches, iTunes DJ, etc. You can now also rent HD movies from the iTunes Music store. I highly recommend updating your iTunes to the latest version since it has numerous bug fixes for iPhone OS based devices.

It’s not an OS update, it’s just an iTunes update.
