Wanted to call someone when you just finished your phone plan but didn’t want to bust your piggy-bank [again]? Well, Skype just released their iPhone equivalent app. It includes the world-famous SkypeOut feature (normal) using either the iPhone’s built-in microphone or using an external microphone (required for the iPod Touch). You can chat, call, and view your call log. A big pro on this is that it doesn’t require a Wi-FI connection [as expected] but it works on all data-connections (3G, GPRS, EDGE and Wi-Fi).

A feature that SkypeIn customers would like to see but impossible to imagine now (might be available with the iPhone 3.0’s push notification service) is to receive calls from their SkypeIn number.
