I have the same problem as ian. Downloaded a map. Turned xgps into offline mode. tyring to find a place or plan a route – get a message: the direction cannot be calculated because there is no internet connection.

I downloaded the maps. After that I turned my wifi off. I put in the addresses but it keeps saying that the direction cannot be calculated because there is no internet connection. What is the problem? Isn’t the downloaded map supposed to be doing the job without the internet connection

John it works with the iPhone’s GPS the only reason why you think it needs an external GPS is because in the video there using an ipod touch! Just wait one more day people till feb 20th for version 1.2 and remember its in beta! I think it’s a great idea and keep up the good work!

I thought that it doesn’t work with the built in GPS and requires an external GPS receiver that attaches to the phone. Am I wrong?

After I installed it I had the following problems…

1. Google Maps stopped working completely/crashes.
2. XGPS stopped asking to use current location and then stopped working properly.. GPS stopped working across other apps as well (besides the google maps app)…

I had to uninstall it and Google Maps came back, but not wanting to try it again…at least not for now…

Install it from the ModMyI repository that comes with Cydia I believe. Don’t know why they tell us to install from that broken URL

I keep getting a “size mismatch” warning as well. How do I install the app?

After I downloaded the Xwaves Repository, I can’t install XGPS or com.xwaves.xgpsuti. I get the “size mismatch” message.

Do anyone know what I’m suppose to do?

If you are trying to use “Current Location” in the US, that will not work. You have to plug in a starting and ending address right now. This is a feature that is fixed in the version coming soon that was described in the article.
