Aparrently your idea of what is considered excellent is as subjective as mine.  However, the answer to your Q as to what a Dev needs to surivive is also subjective.  How might I know this?  Well simply put it is because I am the founder and officer of a technology company that has.....Developed software for use online.  And we have yet to generate revenue.  and by this, it means we must introduce ourselves to the market below the normal cost to entice new business.  This exact same process would be an excellent marketing strategy for any company like this to appear on the App Store.  Hell if there were a way for them to make money and give it out for free, this would be the best case of all as it would assure absolute market saturation.

I am sry for you lack of satisfaction of games, and even more so on our disagreement of how this one should be released.  A week of free release would only help the company in the short and long run.  And raising the base price would be asinine on the App Store.  

And BTW?  Apple only take .33 cents of the dollar for apps according to my research.</description>

		<description>i completly disagree with you. this game looks great, innovative, the music is so cool, and the game receive an award! 2$ means 1$ for the developer, how many games should they sold to survive??  is it possible with so much crapy games around? how much does it cost to do, do you have just an idea?

I said my range is the $2.00 area.  And that is based on simply what I have seen in the video.  Like most games in the App Store, many look to be great and simply suck.  Being that it is? I do not think hoping for such a release on the iPhone off base or out of the realm of sanity.
