well, well ,well….how is that.
i had been reading about unlocking the iPhone and how much carrier’s charge to unlock. Mine (Australia, Telstra) charge $150.
I found a 1800iphone number to call (Australia) regarding unlocking iPhones that were bought outright from telstra.
They just waivered the fee for me, with no argument, and unlocked my phone, takes 3 days (72 hours). By friday My iphone will be unlocked, for free……Yeah!!!

The Dev Team are good – unfortunately the can’t help those of us stupid enough to have gone ahead and updated the baseband of our 3G iPhones and can no longer use our SIM Adapters.
My tupidity is greater than their skills….

Does this mean if you don’t have a Mac and may want to have the Iphone unlocked in the future that i can not upgrade?
I know people can upload their custom .ipsw for others to use but i don’t like to do that….never know when one is bad……
What should i do?
