According to MacRumors.com, Apple has started to include a “non-disclosure” notation on an rejection letter they send out to a developer.

The only warning on the note reads:

THE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS MESSAGE IS UNDER NON-DISCLOSURE

Although this information was probably an implied fact, it is now in black and white so that no one can claim ignorance to the policy. This was in reaction to the massive amount of media hype regarding the hypocrisy of Apple against 3rd party programs. Apple seemed to grow tired of the negative news so they decided this was the best solution.

MacRumors.com also states that the Android OS should be relatively open to all developers regardless of what their app accomplishes. How this will work for malicious programs only time will tell.
